The Golden Gate Guards (GGG) is a non-profit organization that promotes educational, fraternal and charitable activities through social interaction among people in the alternative lifestyles communities with an interest in leather, Levis®, motorcycles and uniforms. To be a member of the Golden Gate Guards, you must be at least 21 years old, a legal U.S. resident and agree with the purpose of the organization. Those interested in joining must complete a Membership Application and obtain the signatures of two active members of the GGG. These two people will be your sponsors throughout the pledge period. For a list of GGG members, please visit the members page on this website. For more information, please contact the Vice President who is in charge of the new member pledge process. During the pledge period, with the help of your sponsors, you should make yourself known to as many members of the GGG as possible. You are also required to attend meetings and other functions during this period. The exact number of required meetings and events depend upon the membership category you are interested in: Active or Associate. Your sponsors will give you more information. At the completion of your pledge period, the active membership will vote to approve or disapprove your membership by secret ballot. A two-thirds "yes" vote is required for approval. If approved, the Initiation Fee (which covers the cost of the badges and patches) is payable at the end of the meeting. New active members must purchase a uniform. Uniforms are optional for associate members. Golden Gate Guards Membership ApplicationClick here to download the Membership Application in PDF format. Please return the completed form to:
